My New Lipsticks for Spring – With Comparison Swatches

Spring lipsticks

Last weekend I went shopping for some lipsticks to wear this spring. I have no idea how long these particular shades have been out but I was drawn to them. With all that’s going on, I kept my makeup simple and didn’t do any eyeshadow looks. Keep reading to see what I picked up.

Fenty’s Stunna Lip Paint in Unattached

Price: $25

Shade description: Bright coral

Finish: Matte

Fragrance?: None

Where to buy it: Fenty, Sephora

Tips for application: It’s very bold at first glance but if you’re only applying one layer you should be good. If it’s still too much apply a nude, not clear, gloss over it. For the overall look I would pair this with no eyeshadow and a light blush on the cheeks, or a bold-colored graphic eyeliner in a similar color.

L’oreal’s Age Perfect Satin Lipstick with Precious Oils in Pink Petal

Shade description: Light pink with a hint of peach

Finish: Glossy initially, dries down to Satin

Fragrance?: None

Where to buy it: Walgreen’s, Target, and Walmart

Tips for application: It’s pretty to wear on it’s own. You can pair it with a liner or the same color or lipstick used as a liner. In the below pic I used Nars’ London Calling as the liner and came up with a super cute spring look. Pair it with lilac or blush pink eyeshadow and a light rosy pink blush on the cheeks.

L’oreal’s Age Perfect Satin Lipstick with Precious Oils in Spring Coral

Price: $7.99-$9.99

Shade description: Red-based coral

Finish: Glossy initially, dries down to Satin

Fragrance?: None

Where to buy it: Walgreen’s, Target, and Walmart

Tips for application: It pulls kinda fuschia on me so I pair it with a red liner when I want my lips to be the main focus. Otherwise I’ll use a dark brown liner. Will look good paired with a number of pink and purple eyeshadow shades as well as a brown neutral look.

Spring Coral

Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick Kiss Me Coral

Price: $4.99-$7.49

Shade description: Red-orange

Finish: Radiant/glossy

Fragrance?: None

Where to buy it: Ulta, Target, and Walmart

Tips for application: Pair with any red liner you have on hand. I wore this with my Mac Cherry liner and OMG was this a beautiful combination! For the rest of the face, do an orange or brown smokey eye and very lightly apply an orange blush to the cheeks for a monochromatic look.
