Makeup I’m Reaching For This Spring – With Swatches

spring makeup

It’s officially my second favorite season and I’m so excited! I’m ready for the consistent mild weather, longer, sunny days, and lighter colors. Last week I shared the lipsticks I’m wearing this spring so this week I’m showing other products in my stash that put me in a spring mood.

Sephora Collection Face Powders Blush in Fascinated

Price: $14

Shade description: Bright coral

Finish: Matte

Fragrance?: None

Where to buy it: Sephora

Tips for application: It’s not the most pigmented but I think it layers better that way. For the overall look I would pair this with no eyeshadow and a light blush on the cheeks, or a bold-colored graphic eyeliner in a similar color.

Elf Primer-Infused Blush in Always Fiery

Price: $6

Shade description: Red-orange

Finish: Matte

Fragrance?: None

Where to buy it: Elf.com

Tips for application: It’s a buildable formula so start with a little on a fluffy brush and add more as needed. If it’s still too much you can tone it down with a tinted powder. I would pair this with a smokey brown eye and a nude lip. Alternatively you can go for a monochromatic look and do coral on the eyes and on the lips.

Eyeshadow palettes

These were my faves last summer and will get a lot of use this spring and summer.

ColourPop Sol

Picked this up on a whim last spring and it was one of my most used throughout the summer. All of the shades compliment that middle coral shade, Motel, very nicely.

From L to R: Unwind, OOO, Floaties, B+B, Motel, Hotel, Dynamite, Anthem, New Digs

Natasha Denona Sunrise

Got this one last year for my birthday and even though it doesn’t look like it, I used it a lot. I can mix the orange and pinks in this palette to get the mot beautiful coral shade saving me from having to buy it in a single. It also complements the recent Love palette and I can’t wait to use them at the same time, (Check out my post here to see them side by side)

Top row (from L to R): Laurel, Awakening, Phlox, Citrine, Poppy

Middle row (from L to R): Agate, Morgan, Azalea, Glory, Aster

Bottom row (from L to R): Day Spring, Morning, Jasper, Carnelian, Clove

Let me know what palettes or other makeup items you’re reaching for this spring. Also tag me on Instagram (@joyanitabeauty) if you do any looks with these palettes.
