Eye Looks of the Week 2/17-2/21 with SG Enduring Love

MU looks 2.17-2.21

I spent last week testing the shadows in the SG Enduring Love palette. I already love Sydney Grace’s formula and enjoy all of my singles from them, so having their palette has been a real treat for me. Last week I swatched the shadows in the palette and this week I put them to the test. I used all but 1 (Ruth) of the shadows and did 4 looks this week using different eye primers.  Keep reading to see my looks and the rest of my thoughts.

Quick note about my brows: I am using a lash & brow serum to help stimulate growth. I haven’t gotten my brows trimmed or shaped because I’m waiting for them to grow in a bit more. It’s only been about 3 weeks so far and I can already see a difference. I will do a before and after once 8 weeks have gone by. If this bothers you, I don’t know what to tell you.

Look #1

This look was inspired by a green sweater I chose to wear that day. I used ABH’s primer and felt it did really well with these shadows. Not that they needed the help, but the shadows applied smoothly and at their true pigmentation with this base. Today’s look was simple and beautiful. None of the shadows produced any fallout or creasing.

Look #2

This look wasn’t my best because I was in a rush that day. On this day I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion and had no issues with any of these shades or the primer. Not that I have any favorites but Devotion is my boo. That shade was so easy to apply and looked as gorgeous on it’s own as it did with other shades.

Look #3

Loved this look but the next time I do it I’ll have to use a different base. The Revolution Pro concealer is a bit sticky so I had to press the shadows on my eyes before blending. After applying Romeo all over lid I changed my mind and covered it with Albert. I think Romeo set my concealer because Albert went on a lot more smooth. There was absolutely no fallout even thought I piled the shadows on my brush and the creasing was absolutely due to the concealer.

Look #4

I was supposed to use Ruth on this day but didn’t remember until after I was done. It worked out though and I loved how easy this look was, which was perfect for a Saturday full of running errands. No issues with the primer. I did experience fallout with Devotion applying it with my finger but none with the rest.

Final Thoughts

If you haven’t guessed it already I love the SG Enduring Love eyeshadow palette. I found it easy to use as long as you use the right type of primer. Dense brushes or fluffy brushes can be used for any of these shades.
You probably can’t tell from the pics but using a sticky base like the Revolution Pro concealer isn’t the best unless you set it with another shade or a powder, but that kinda defeats the purpose of it. Using your finger is always an option and enhanced the look of the shimmers. All in all this palette is a unique color story within my collection and will get plenty of use.
