Hey guys! I’ve been intrigued by the color story in the Huda Beauty Pastel Mint Obsessions palette because it’s not your typical monochromatic palette. Per Huda Beauty’s website, this palette contains “an unusual balance of warm and cool tones,…indulges your lids in soft mint and apple green mattes, pistachio, teal and icy aqua shimmers, a touch of honey bronze shimmer and a rich tan matte.”
I decided to dupe the vibe of this palette with shadows I already have. Plus I already had these colors in my collection and figured it would be kinda wasteful to buy a palette just to have these colors in one spot. So here we go.
Note: the shadows that I picked below as dupes ARE NOT exact shade matches. Because I’m going for the same vibe, the shades are not all pastel.
Shade 1 – cool mint matte
My dupe: Sea Foam by Sydney Grace (single)
Shade 2 – soft mint shimmer
My dupe: Koro by Juvia’s Place in The Tribe palette
Shade 3 – soft mint matte
My dupe: 20-Pistachio by Viseart in Grande Pro Vol. 1 palette
Shade 4 – pistachio shimmer swirl
My dupe: Centerfold by Nars in Skin Deep palette
Shade 5 – icy pink shimmer
My dupe: A Beauty Campaign by KKW Beauty (in The Artist & Muse palette)
Shade 6 – honey bronze shimmer
My dupe: Blushed by Sydney Grace (single)
Shade 7 – rich tan matte
My dupe: Glam King by KKW Beauty (in The Artist & Muse palette)
Shade 8 – teal shimmer
My dupe: Megalodon by Sydney Grace (single)
Shade 9 – teal matte
My dupe: 14-Teal by Viseart in Grande Pro Vol. 1 palette
So here are the looks I came up with using the shadows.

So that was a lot of work and kinda fun. It’s not perfect but I’m glad I did it instead of buying a palette that I prob won’t realistically get a lot of use out of. I may be doing this again when I see a palette that catches my eye.
