My Thoughts
I’m impressed by the quality of the shades in the Mimosa palette. I like the cardboard packaging and the mirror is a nice asset although it isn’t necessary for me. The color story is pretty and one can get a few sunset looks. There are a few shades that look similar on the eyes (Pomegranate & Raspberry, Cheers & Fizzy) where one could’ve been substituted for a more distinct color.
The shade formula is pigmented, not patchy, and surprisingly apply nicely with or without eye primer. If you want them to last longer than 4 hours you’ll have to use a primer. I had no issues with fallout while applying the shades however the shimmer landed on my cheeks throughout the day. Might have to use a stickier primer with those.
I can recommend this palette for those who have several other color stories in their collection despite not having traditional transition shades. Those who are used to doing a darker outer corner will have to bring in another palette like I did for the 2nd look above. Also I think it’s perfect for doing colorful looks with 1-2 shadows. You can select a shimmer and blend the edges with one of the mattes and have a whole look in 5 minutes.
