My Thoughts

I think the quality of this palette is pretty consistent with what I know BH Cosmetics to produce. It goes to show that you can get quality products at a more affordable price point. I like the fact that a mirror wasn’t included since I don’t typically use palette mirrors although I can see it possibly being an issue for those that rely on palette mirrors. The color scheme at first seemed intimidating but I found the shades to work very well together.

The mattes are smooth and buildable. If you use an eye primer or concealer, I do recommend setting it as the shades appeared patchy without doing so beforehand. The shimmer formula is nice and looks waaaaay better when applied with a finger. When applying with a dense brush, the finish looked more satin-y than shimmery which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but something to keep in mind.

Overall I liked the palette and can recommend it to beginners. It’s a great palette if you want to try color but aren’t ready for a more vibrant color story. Do you plan on picking up this palette?
