Fall is the best time of the year: not too hot, not too cold. The rich orange, green, and brown tones are in abundance and I like to make sure my wardrobe as well as my makeup reflects that.
Some of the palettes I’m going to mention are now discontinued but that makes them more special to use. Each of the palettes listed below put me in the mood for fall and maybe they’ll do the same for you. I also included a look to try with each one to help give you an idea of what to put together.
Melt Cosmetics Rust
This is basically autumn in a palette.
Look idea:
Rubbish or Rust all over the lid
Erode buff/soften the edges
Rott squared to line the top and/or bottom lash line(s)
Redox in the inner corner
Sydney Grace Summer Days – Deep
This is definitely one of those palettes that can be used all year round but it really has an Autumn aesthetic.
Look idea:
Blood Orange all over the lid
Daystar in the outer V
Bask in the inner corner
Huda Beauty Nude Rich
This palette is a good one to break up all the brown tones. I’ve been leaning toward more neutral, effortless looks lately but Nude Rich is for those days when I want to look like I tried hard but really didn’t.
Look idea:
#7 as the transition
#9 in the outer V and lower lash
#6 all over the lid
#2 in the inner corner
ColourPop Brown Sugar
Every shade in here just works without effort. Any combination you do will look good.
Look idea:
Jamocha all over the lid
Amber in the crease
Sorrel in the outer V
Viseart Dark Edit & Dark Mattes
This one is more like a companion palette and I use it a lot if I need a transition shade. But it’s still a good one to reach for to do basic looks on its own.
Look idea:
04 Platane all over the lid
09 Cacao in the outer V
Kaleidos Sci-Fi Green
It doesn’t offer much variety but it is what I reach for when I want an olive-y, grungy type of look. Plus the black shade in here is one of the deepest, darkest blacks I have in my collection.
Look idea:
Radioactive as the transition
Darkside in the outer V and on the lower lash
Nuclear all over the lid
Glamora in the inner corner
Coloured Raine Safari Raine
Depending on my complexion I have to bring in Viseart’s Neutral Mattes to have a transition shade. Overall, all of the colors in here are rich and warm and perfect for Fall.
Look idea:
Clay in the crease
Matriarch in the outer V and on the lower lash
Tigress all over the lid
Lioness in the inner corner and inner lid (blend in with Tigress)
ABH x Jackie Aina
The entire palette is gorgeous but this corner right here does it for me. Doesn’t this scream Fall to you?
Look idea:
Ginger as my transition
Credit in the crease, outer V, and upper lash
Sponsored on the inner lid
Lituation on the middle lid
A bronze liner on the lower lash smudged out with Ginger
Urban Decay Born to Run

Look idea:
Riff as the transition
Good as Gone in the crease and outer V
Ignite all over the lid
Smog in the inner corner
A bronze or brown liner on the lower lash smudged out with Riff
