6 Fave One-and-Done Eyeshadows for Deep Skin

one-and-done eyeshadows

Trying to get out the house on time this past week was a struggle. I can do my entire base in 7-8 minutes but applying eyeshadow is where I really take my time and cannot rush it for the life of me. The other day I grabbed my palette of singles and found the most perfect color to just swipe across my lid without having to do much else. Keep reading to see my picks for my favorite one-and-done eyeshadows (in no particular order).

Cinnamon Lust and Dethrone (Coloured Raine singles)

Coloured Raine, single eyeshadows, Dethrone, Cinnamon Lust, Downtown, one-and-done
Cinnamon Lust – medium red-brown satin; Dethrone – warm brown foil

CInnamon Lust is the shadow that inspired this post. I just apply this to my lid with a clean finger and take a clean blending brush around the edges. Add some liner and mascara and I’m done. This shade is no longer available as Coloured Raine is doing away with their singles, but if you have it already try using it this way.

Dethrone is a good one for my deeper toned friends and is still available as I’m typing this. Don’t be scared by the description. It’s a beautiful shade that can be applied with a flat brush if you want it toned down a bit or a clean finger for more intensity.

Shade 5 (Huda Beauty Nude Rich palette)

huda beauty shade 5, nude rich, one-and-done

dusty rose matte

As you can see, I love a good dusty rose. I discovered this as a fave one morning when I was running late (again). After applying this in my crease, I wondered how it would look all over the lid so that’s what I did and I loved it. It looks even better when blended out towards my temples.

Noble (Colourpop Baroque palette)

colourpop baroque, noble, one-and-done

violet purple with blue duochrome flip metallic

This is one of those shades that looks way different on the skin than it does in the pan. The first time I swatched it, I saw the potential. I usually pair this with a clear gloss and a soft, barely-there blush.

Calendar Girl (NARS Skin Deep palette)

grey beige

Whew…this shade is absolutely stunning by itself. The description might have thrown me at first but as you can see it looks amazing on the lid. I think it was work for a variety of skin tones as well.

Total Immortal (Melt Cosmetics She’s in Parties palette)

muted lilac

At first glance it may look too ashy for deep skin tones but look at it on my arm. I applied it and then kinda blended it with my finger to give it a softer look. Simply and effortlessly gorgeous.

There you go. I have a few more shades that will work but they’re basically duplicates of the ones I listed here. Let me know if you’ve tried these shades. Also what are you go to one-and-done eyeshadows? Let’s chat below.
